2009 Temora Aviation Museum Flying Weekends

The Temora Aviation Museum Flying Days are a world class aerobatic Air Show of ex-military aircraft that have historic significance to the defence of Australia. The aircraft belong to the Temora Aviation Museum which is the only Museum in the world to focus solely on a flying collection.

The collection includes Australia's oldest flying Tiger Moth, the only two flying Spitfires in Australia, the only Hudson Bomber, Boomerang and Gloster Meteor F.8 flying in the world, Australia's only flying Canberra bomber, and Australian-built Vampire., a Wirraway, a Ryan, a Cessna 0-2A and two Cessna A37B Dragonflies

Martin Place Children's Christmas Concert and Tree Lighting

City of Sydney's Christmas celebrations begin with the ever-popular Children's Christmas concert and lighting of the City's largest Christmas Tree in Martin Place. MC Wendy Harmer will entertain along with Justine Clarke, Koala Brothers, Monica Trapaga and the Australian Girls Choir with a very special guest. And don't miss Santa arriving on his sleigh.

Macquarie Night Lights

Location: Macquarie Street and College Street, Sydney
Time: 8.30 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Macquarie Night Lights will again light up historic buildings on Macquarie Street in Sydney city. This spectacular lighting display, provided by the NSW Government, is a summer highlight and it's free. See The Conservatorium, State Library of NSW, The Mint, Hyde Park Barracks, St James Church and, a new participant to this event, St Mary's Cathedral in College Street opposite Hyde Park!
And if you wander down to George Street, you’ll see the Sydney Town Hall transformed into a Christmas Wonderland with the City of Sydney’s Christmas Projections. This spectacular free slide show each night has ten rotating projections onto the facade of the iconic Sydney Town Hall.
